Jeffrey Lynn Carter age 67, of Griffin, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022.

Jeff was born in Newark, Ohio on October 21, 1954. His parents, Fred and Patty Carter, preceded him in death. He was retired as an insurance agent for Woodmen of the World. Jeff was an avid football and baseball fan whose all-time favorite teams were the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. Other hobbies of Jeff’s were hunting and fishing.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Kay Carter; step-children, Scott Roland and wife, Lakeitha, Brad Roland and wife, Rachel, Eric Henson and Olivia; grandchildren, Taylor Roland, Devin Roddy, Brandon Gravitt, Savannah Roland, Houston Henson, Payton Henson, Harrison Roland; great grandson, Walker Kyle Roddy; sisters, Phyllis Adams and husband, Buddy, Krista Yeomans and husband, Kevin; sisters-in-law, Peggy Jones, Faye Garvin and husband, Earl, Quinette Lovelady; brother-in-law, Bobby Dingler; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff of Brightmoor Hospice.

A visitation for Jeff will be Monday, September 12, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Southside Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow, officiated by Reverend Don McMurry.
